MISTER ED TV CAST: ALAN YOUNG, CONNIE HINES and GABI RONA The three Hollywood professionals are shown with Mister Ed himself in this black and white photograph Photograph signed: "Alan Young", "Connie/Hines", "Gabi Rona/CBS". B/w, 10x8. Mister Ed, the Golden Globe-winning sitcom with a talking horse in the title role, was shown on CBS from 1961 to 1966. English-born, Canadian-raised actor ALAN YOUNG (1919-2016) portrayed Wilbur Post, Ed's owner, and the only human to whom this exceptional horse would talk. Young, the voice of Scrooge McDuck in several Disney movies and video games, had previously earned a Best Actor Emmy for The Alan Young Show (1950-1953). CONNIE HINES played Wilbur's wife Carol. After the series ended, Hines made guest appearance on other TV shows, including Bonanza and Mod Squad. In 1996, Young and Hines re-united for a 2-person play, Love Letters. Hungarian-born GABI RONA (1919-2005) eluded the Nazi death camps during World War II, arriving in the US in 1948 as a rare "war groom." For 33 years he was staff photographer for CBS-TV, taking still photos of Alfred Hitchcock, Elvis Presley, Lucille Ball, Clint Eastwood, and of course the cast of Mister Ed. Fine condition.
