Autograph note signed "Molly Bee". 1 page, 6¾x9, with 3½x1 bio
and b/w magazine photo affixed near bottom left corner. In full: "To
George - So good to see you again! Many thanks to you- Affectionately". You
probably best know Bee (1939-2009, born Molly Beechwood in Oklahoma,
Oklahoma) for I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus (1952), her first
hit. Bee recorded this when she was 13; by that time, she'd been performing
professionally for three years, including regular performances on Los Angeles'
Hometown Jamboree. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus was the
highlight of her career, although she charted other singles with Young
Romance, Don't Look Back and 5 Points of a Star in the 1950s;
Losing You/Miserable Me in the 1960s; and She Kept on Talking and
Right or Left at Oak Street in the 1970s. George R. Sanders,
originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in
Los Angeles and later in Portland. Lightly toned and creased. Neatly torn from
album or notebook at bottom edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
