This biography, written in the third person, follows Hale from the purchase of his first guitar, which he "played at a local war bond rally", and his first screen test at Republic Films through his career as a movie star to his retirement One of Republic Pictures' singing cowboys, Monte Hale, (1919-2009), had supporting roles in Westerns starring Roy Rogers and Sunset Carson before starring in his own series of films in the late 1940s. Later he toured with the band of singing cowboy composer Ray Whitley. He's a member of the Western Music Association Hall of Fame. Lightly creased.
