Stage and screen actor MONTGOMERY CLIFT (1920-1966), who had made his debut on Broadway at the age of 13, became an instant star after his film debut in 1948's Red River. Before making his last film, The Defector, in 1966, "Monty" was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in 1948 (The Search), 1951 (A Place in the Sun) and 1953 (From Here to Eternity). He was also nominated for the 1961 Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as witness Rudolph Peterson in Judgment at Nuremberg. BILL CALLAHAN was a popular Broadway actor of the 1940s. His talents, varying from dancing, singing and acting, landed him his first Broadway role in Something for the Boys (1943). He also appeared in Mexican Hayride (1944-1945), Call Me Mister (1946-1948) and Top Banana (1951-1952). His single movie role came in 1949's Chicken Every Sunday. A star with a strong career, Callahan was murdered in 1981 in Wisconsin at the age of 54. Toned, creased. Small tear at lower edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
