Signature of the Depression-era New Jersey Governor
Signature: "Morgan F. Larson", 5x3 card. Morgan Foster Larson (1882-1961), an engineer, had worked on construction of the George Washington Bridge and other bridges linking New Jersey to New York. The Republican became New Jersey's 40th Governor (1929-1932). He cooperated with President Franklin Roosevelt on plan's for construction of the Lincoln Tunnel, but alienated other Republican leaders with his appointments, and his popularity plummeted as the Depression deepened. He was New Jersey's Conservation Commissioner from 1945 to 1949. Slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
