Color Boxing Illustrated commemorative program for "Super Fight III", possibly the 1975 Thrilla in Manila signed by Ali. Framed to 10¾x13¾ in brown wood.
Program Cover signed: "Muhammad/ Ali".  Pencil notations near right edge in unknown hand. Color, 7¼x9¾ (visible) program over in a 10¾x13¾ brown wood frame. Boxing Illustrated Official Commemorative Edition program.Titled: "ALI/VS/FRAZIER/super fight III/SPECIAL ALBUM". This reference to "super fight III" may be to the third championship fight between Ali and Joe Frazier, the "Thrilla in Manila" on Oct. 1, 1975, which Ali won. Ali is shown in white trunks with a black stripe, while Frazier is shown in red trunks with a white stripe. On Feb. 25, 1964, Muhammad Ali (1942-2016), born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. in Louisville, Kentucky in 1942, knocked out champion Sonny Liston in the seventh round in Miami Beach to win the World Heavyweight title. He was stripped of his title in 1967 for refusing military service. On Oct. 30, 1974, Ali KO'd George Foreman in the eighth round in Zaire to regain the title. Leon Spinks became champ when he won a 15-round decision over Ali on Feb. 15, 1978 in Las Vegas but lost a rematch with Ali in New Orleans in another 15-round decision on Sept. 15, 1978. Ali retired as World Heavyweight Champion in 1979. He is the only three-time World Heavyweight Champion. Not framed in Gallery of History style. Items were not evaluated outside frame. "As is" framing purchase. Lightly toned, spotted, and creased. Frame is lightly stained and soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
