COLM MEANEY (b. 1953) is an Irish actor widely known for playing Miles O'Brien in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He is second only to Michael Dorn in most appearances in Star Trek episodes. He has guest-starred on many TV shows from Law & Order to The Simpsons, and currently stars as railroad magnate Thomas Durant on AMC's drama series Hell on Wheels. He has also had a significant career in motion pictures, appearing in the film The Damned United; all three film adaptations of Roddy Doyle's The Barrytown Trilogy; Get Him to the Greek and Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa. BURT REYNOLDS' (1936-2018) breakthrough film was Deliverance (1972), which established him as both a star and serious actor. That same year, Reynolds became a major sex symbol when he was featured as the first nude male centerfold in the April edition of Cosmopolitan. He went on to become the biggest box-office attraction in America for several years, starring in films such as Hustle (1975), Smokey and the Bandit (1977) (as well as its two sequels), Starting Over (1979), and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982). In 1997, Reynolds was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the role of Jack Horner in Boogie Nights. On TV, he starred in the popular sitcom Evening Shade, for which he won an Emmy. Actor MAURY CHAYKIN (1949-2010) is mostly known for his supporting roles in film and television, appearing in supporting but pivotal roles in films like Dances with Wolves (1990), My Cousin Vinny (1992), and WarGames (1983). However, it was his portrayal of detective Nero Wolfe that earned him the most recognition, appearing in the telefilm The Golden Spiders: A Nero Wolfe Mystery (2000) and its spin off series, A Nero Wolfe Mystery. Chaykin continued to act after the series' end, appearing as Sam Belcher in Less Than Kind shortly before his death in 2010. Hank Azaria (b. 1964) is an American actor, producer, and comedian. He is noted for being one of the principal voice actors on the animated television series The Simpsons (1989-present). He has won four Emmys and a Screen Actors Guild Award. RON ELDARD (b. 1965) made his film debut in the Sundance Festival award-winning comedy True Love (1989). His best remembered role may have been in the cult film Drop Dead Fred (1991), but he has been seen frequently in revivals of classic Broadway plays like On the Waterfront, Biloxi Blues and Death of a Salesman. Recent movie appearances include In Plain Sight and Super 8 (both 2011). RUSSELL CROWE (b. 1964), who emerged from this movie as a major star (and an Oscar winner), plays a Roman general, betrayed by treachery, who fights his way back to revenge and redemption in the gladiatorial ring, saving Rome from a tyrant in the process. Crowe had been building a strong resume in the 1990s in films like Proof, L.A. Confidential and The Insider (his first Oscar nomination, 1999). After Gladiator came more hits like A Beautiful Mind (2001), Master and Commander: the Far Side of the World (2003), American Gangster (2007) and Robin Hood (2010). McCormack was nominated for the 2008 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play for the role of Gretchen in the 2008 Broadway revival of "Boeing Boeing". LOLITA DAVIDOVICH (b. 1961), who grew up speaking Serbian as the daughter of immigrants to Canada, had her film breakthrough as famed stripper Blaze Starr opposite Paul Newman in Blaze (1989).
