The talented performer pens her name on this peach album leaf in black ink
Signature: "Nanci Crompton" in black ink, 4¾x2¾. From 1951 to 1957, Nanci Crompton
made appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show. Crompton was also featured on episodes of
The Colgate Comedy Hour and The Bob Hope Show in 1953 and 1956 respectively. A
skilled ballet dancer, Crompton was also featured in John Murray Anderson's Almanac, a
musical revue on Broadway that ran from December 10, 1953 to June 26, 1954. Signers on
verso merits further research. Leaf torn from album at left-hand side. Paper worn and gently
creased. "Marge Champion" written below signature in an unknown hand. Dated "4.11.52" in
an unknown hand on front. Dated "19.1.52" in an unknown hand on verso. Otherwise, fine
condition.
