Document signed: "Natalie Wood", 1 page, 8½x13. No place, 1962 December 17.  Release form with Warner Bros. terminating their contract, and agreeing to "release and discharge each other of  and from any and all debts, controversies, actions, causes of action, claims and demands of any and every nature whatsoever." Nothing in this document shall be construed as a waiver or surrender by Warner Bros. of ownership rights with regard to works produced by Wood under the now-terminated contract. Actress Natalie Wood (1938-1981) successfully made the transition from child star (1947's holiday favorite Miracle on 34th Street) to screen ingénue to accomplished mature actress. Along with Elizabeth Taylor, the photogenic Wood was aqueen of the fan magazines in the 1950s and proved her talent with Academy Award nominations for Rebel Without a Cause (1955), Splendor in the Grass (1961) and Love with the Proper Stranger (1963). Other film credits of the versatile actress include The Searchers (1956), West Side Story (1961), and Gypsy (1962). She received eight Golden Globe nominations during her career. While on a boat with husband Robert Wagner and colleague Christopher Walken, Wood mysteriously fell off the boat and drowned. Heavily toned and creased. Moisture damage at bottom edge. Corners creased and worn. Signature damaged from moisture but legible.
