1954 application for membership, signed with her birth name (Helene Hayden)
Document signed: "Helene Hayden", 2 pages 6½x9, 1 sheet, front and verso, with 6¼x3¼ carbon copy receipt No. 204220 stapled at top left corner. Ink notes (unknown hand). Hollywood, California, 1954 December 12. Application for membership in the American Federation of Television and Radio Actors, Los Angeles local. Born Helene Hayden in 1932, she changed her name to Norah Hayden in 1955 and to Naura Hayden in 1967. She had minor roles in several feature films, including Son of Sinbad (1954) and The Angry Red Planet (1960), and wrote the script and starred in one, The Perils of P. K. (as an over the hill Las Vegas showgirl still seeking stardom, 1986). She made appearances on several TV series of the late 1950s and early 1960s, including The Millionaire and The Thin Man. In 1963, Hayden opened a chic New York coffeehouse, Opera Expresso. She has authored several books, ranging from a soybean cookbook to several self-help books, including the best-selling How to Satisfy a Woman Every Time (1983), and has marketed energy bars and shakes. Lightly creased at corners. Otherwise, fine condition
