Character actor Ned Glass (1906-1984) was born in Poland and immigrated to the United States at a young age. During his long career he appeared in over 100 films and television shows. A short, bald man with a nasally voice, he is well remembered as the character "Doc" in West Side Story (1961). His long list of television appearances includes The Untouchables (1960-1962), The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1967), Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. (1969), Gunsmoke (1957-1969), I Dream of Jeannie (1969), Bridget Loves Bernie (1967-1973) and Cagney & Lacey (1982). He was married to actress Kitty Mchugh until her suicide in 1954.
