From 1933 to 1940 she continued to star in films like Smoke Lightning (1933), The Road to Ruin (1934) and Boss of Bullion City (1940). During the 1940's O'Day appeared as the heroine in several westerns including Pony Post (1940), The Masked Rider (1941), Arizona Cyclone (1941), Stagecoach Buckaroo (1942), Thundering Trails (1943) and Boss of Rawhide (1943). Also a stage performer, she appeared on Broadway in Fine and Dandy (1930-1931), Many Mansions (1937-1938), One For the Money (1939) and Many Happy Returns (1945). PEGGY STEWART (1923-2019) who appeared in many films, mostly Westerns, from the late 1930s into the 1960s, was one of Republic Picture's leading ladies in the 1940s. Tired of being cast in serials, she left Republic, but continued making occasional films. Stewart later appeared in several made-for-TV movies and was a guest star on a number of TV series, and she made stage appearances in the Los Angeles area. Stewart, who was married to actors Don "Red" Barry (1940-1944) and Buck Young (1953 until his death in 2000), has been a popular figure at Western film and nostalgia gatherings. Fine condition.
