The drummer for the rock group New England signs a drumstick in black felt tip.
Drumstick signed: "Hirsh Gardner[drawing of a music note]" in black felt tip. 16 inches long. Hirsh Gardner (drums and vocals) formed the rock group, New England, with John Fannon (guitar & vocals), Jimmy Waldo (keyboards and vocals) and Gary Shea (bass) in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1979 they released their first album New England. The album was produced by two members of Kiss, Mike Stone and Paul Stanley, whom New England toured with in 1979 and 1980. The group's second album Explorer Suite featured singles like "It's Never Too Late" and "Conversation". The group's popularity grew and they began to tour with big name artists like AC/DC and Journey. Their third album Walking Wild featured the song "Don't Ever Let Me Go" which had Gardner singing lead vocals. The band split before making another album and Gardner went on to a successful career producing music. In 1998, Gardner and his former band mates released the album, 1978, for the 20th anniversary of the band's birth. Fine condition.
