The 1976 film Next Stop, Greenwich Village followed the story of a young actor who struggles to make it after moving out of his mother's house and to Greenwich Village. ELLEN GREENE (b.1951) is an American actress and singer who got her start performing in musical theater productions at summer camp. Her first professional appearances were that of vocal performances in nightclubs such as Grand Finale and The Brothers and Sisters. She made her Broadway debut in 1973 when she was cast as the lead in the original musical Rachael Lily Rosenbloom and Don't You Ever Forget It, which is widely known as an infamous failure. However, only a few years later, Greene began finding new roles including her onstage role in Threepenny Opera (1976-1977), and her onscreen debut as Sarah Roth in the 1976 film Next Stop, Greenwich Village. Since her onscreen debut, she has been cast in over forty-five titles including Little Shop of Horrors (1986), Talk Radio (1988), Leon: the Professional (1994), and One Fine Day. Her stage career has continued to blossom, being cast in multiple titles including Three Men on a Horse (1993), Guys and Dolls (2009), and Betwixt! (2011). LENNY BAKER (1945-1982) was an American stage, film, and screen actor. During his career, Baker appeared in over fifteen onscreen titles and four stage productions including The Hospital (1971), The Rubber Gun Squad (1977), and the television series Taxi (1979). In 1977, he received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in Next Stop, Greenwich Village. That same year, Baker received a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical, as well as a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical - both for his role in the 1977 original Broadway production of I Love My Wife. Unfortunately in 1982, at the age of thirty-seven, Lenny Baker passed away. Fine condition.
