ALS: "Your pal,/Nick", 8½x4 postcard. He has also printed "NICK ADAMS" and "AIR MAIL". London, c. 1965 February 22. Postcard picturing the London Hilton, addressed in his hand to: "Mr. Dale Olson/c/o The Daily Variety/6404 Sunset Blvd./Hollywood, Califoinia (sic)/90028/U.S.A." In full: "London is great but I miss your parties. Sorry we didn't get a chance to get together before I left but everything was sort of sudden. I'll give you a call when I get back. In the mean time have a drink for me at your Sunday shindigs and give me (sic) love to Joan. Carol sends her love too-". Adams starred as "Johnny Yuma", a former Confederate soldier, in The Rebel on ABC from 1959-1961. Among his films were Mr. Roberts, Picnic and Rebel Without a Cause, and he was nominated for a Best Supporting Oscar for Twilight of Honor in 1963. Adams was 36 when he died in 1968 of an overdose of drugs he was taking for a nervous disorder. Lightly creased. Ink smudged at 2 words of text. Worn corners. Overall, fine condition.
