Extremely Rare! Shown entangled with the Three Stooges in publicity photo for Rhythm and Weep
Photograph signed: "Good Luck to You/Nita Bieber". B/w, 10x8. Shown with Moe, Larry and Curly in publicity still from Rhythm and Weep (1946). There are three smaller inset photos of Bieber in various poses. Dancer and actress Nita Bieber (1926-2019) went from high school directly to USO tours and then to a US tour with the Jack Cole Dancers. In 1950, Bieber was afflicted with polio, but she confounded doctors' expectations by not only walking again, but returning to dance. She appeared in films for a decade from 1946, appearing with the Three Stooges in the film shown here, with the Bowery Boys in News Hounds, with Judy Garland and Gene Kelly in Summer Stock, and with Howard Keel and Vic Damone in Kismet (1955), her last film. In 1951 she formed her own troupe, the Nina Bieber Dancers, who performed in a Las Vegas show and on variety television. Fine condition.
