performances from January 27, 1994 to March 20, 1994. Canadian actor
CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER, born Arthur Christopher Orme Plummer in 1927,
perhaps best known to American audiences as Captain von Trapp in The Sound
of Music (1965) and to Trekkers as the villainous Klingon General
Chang in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991),is a
versatile stage and screen performer with a long and illustrious career. On
Broadway, he earned Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Musical
(Cyrano, 1974) and Best Featured Actor (Barrymore,
1997). In 2007, he notched yet another Tony nomination for his role in
Inherit the Wind, and in 2009 he got a nod from the Academy Awards
for his portrayal of Leo Tolstoy in The Last Station. Plummer has
won two Emmy Awards for Arthur Hailey's The Moneychangers (1977)
and Madeline (1993). Also known for his Shakespearean roles on
Broadway and TV, Plummer is the father of actress Amanda Plummer. A decorated
navy veteran of World War II, JASON ROBARDS (1922-2000) moved on to
success on the Broadway stage. Among his best early film roles were encores of
his earlier stage roles (Long Days Journey Into Night, 1962; A
Thousand Clowns (1965). He earned two Oscars as Best Supporting Actor
(All The President's Men, 1976; Julia, 1977), and was nominated
for another (Melvin and Howard, 1980). The son of stage and screen
actor Jason Robards, Sr., he appeared on Broadway with his dad in The
Disenchanted (1958). American actor JOHN SEITZ (1937-2005) was born in
Louisville, Kentucky. He appeared on Broadway and in films and television
programs for over 35 years. His Broadway career included performances in
The Merchant (1977), Frankenstein (1981) and No Man's Land
(1994) and his screen credits include JFK (1991) and G.I. Jane
(1997). American actor TOM WOOD was born on April 19, 1963 in Long Beach,
California. His acting career spans over two decades and includes
performances in films, television and on Broadway. His Broadway performance in
No Man's Land (1994) was followed by appearances in Apollo 13
(1995), Bushwacked (1995) and U.S. Marshals (1998). Fine
