Autograph Letter signed: "Countess Mayo", 5½x3½ card. Edinburgh, Scotland, postmarked July 12, 1949. On her personal letterhead with printed coat of arms to Miss Ester Home, Prince of Wales Hotel, De Vere Gardens [London], in full: "I have received your cheque & am back only there is now a 'trade to be done'. Actually am out of prints of & have only a type & [?] copies of Garden the site & others. If this is satisfactory to you I shall send them. The message is the same only instead of prints you get photographs. I am sorry about not replying sooner to you but have been trying to get any sale or return ones for your." Noel Jessie Wilson (d. 1993) married for the second time to Ulick Henry Bourke (1890-1962) on July 7, 1937. Two years later, on the death of his father, Bourke became the 9th Early of Mayo. Countess Mayo was a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and of the Psychological Research Society. The Earldom of Mayo is an Irish peerage of the United Kingdom. Slightly soiled on corners.
