NOREEN NASH
Glamorous photograph of the actress, author and wife of James Whitmore.
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Donald/Health,/happiness,/and good/wishes,/Noreen/Nash". B/w, 8x10. Actress Noreen Nash (1924-2023) made her film debut in 1943 in an uncredited role as a showgirl in Girl Crazy. She would go on to appear in a number of feature films, including The Southerner (1945), The Perils of Pauline (1947), Adventures of Casanova (1948), Aladdin and His Lamp (1952), Giant (1956), The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold (1958) and Wake Me When It's Over (1960, her last film). Nash was also seen as a guest star on several TV series, including Ramar of the Jungle (1953), Dragnet (1956), 77 Sunset Strip (1959) and Yancy Derringer (1958, 1959) as well as TV anthology series. Her first husband, Dr. Lee Siegel, was a 20th Century-Fox staff physician known as "the doctor to the stars". Nash, who has been married to actor James Whitmore since 2001, is also the author of a romance novel, By Love Fulfilled. Slightly creased at blank margins and corners. Minor surface creases and scratches (most not evident head on), light scratch at forehead. Name written (unknown hand) in ink on verso (minor impressions at upper margin). Overall, fine and lovely.
