Special cover marking Game 3 of the 1990 World Series, with color cachet showing Dibble pitching, postmarked Oakland, California, October 19, 1990 (the date and place of the game), 25-cent US stamp affixed. (The Cincinnati Reds won the 1990 World Series, sweeping the Oakland A's in 4 games.) Together with Randy Myers, Rob Dibble and Norm Charlton formed an effective bullpen team for the Reds in the early 1990s, known as "the Nasty Boys." ROB DIBBLE spent 8 seasons in Major League bullpens, the first and most effective 5½ with the Cincinnati Reds. Twice an All-Star, he was MVP of the 1990 NL Championship Series. Since leaving the field he has been a TV talk show host and color analyst. NORM CHARLTON pitched in the Majors, mostly in relief, from 1988 to 2001, the first five and one later season with the Reds. A hero of the 1990 Series and an All-Star in 1992, Charlton coached for his last team, the Seattle Mariners, at both the minor and Major League levels. Lower right corner creased. Lightly toned.
