English bass singer and voice teacher Norman Allin (1884-1973) performed over 50
opera roles, performing works of Verdi, Wagner, Strauss, Mozart, Moussorgsky and
others, and many oratorios (singing Handel's Messiah 270 times). He was
especially fond of performing at festivals. Allin recorded many works for
Columbia between 1916 and 1940. He taught at the Royal Academy of Music
(1935-1942). Toned and lightly creased. Mounting residue on verso. Corners
lightly creased. Signature light but legible. Otherwise fine condition.
