Collier (1925-2013) attained national fame during a TV appearance on
Royal Variety Command Performance (1971), but was best known as a club
circuit comedian. Admired by other comics, who often attended his shows,
Collier's was called "the comedians' comedian". Collier was the unanimous
winner in a 1970 ITV contest, The Ace of Clubs. He is shown here
in one of his best-known routines, imitating a chicken, with coat
outstretched to represent the wings. Fine condition.
