Originally cast mainly for his good looks, TONY CURTIS (1925-2010), showed real acting talent in such films as The Defiant Ones (1958), Some Like It Hot (1959) and - cast against type - in The Boston Strangler (1968). Later in his career, he preferred to play comic roles. Curtis, whose recent credits include Reflections of Evil (2002, narrator), A&E Biography: Janet Leigh (2003) and TV's Hope & Faith (2004), is the father of actress Jamie Leigh Curtis. VERNA LISI (1937-2014) was an Italian actress with over a hundred movies and TV shows to her credit, most of them Italian-language productions. Lisi was little more than eye-candy in her early roles, although she held her own comedically opposite Jack Lemmon in How to Murder Your Wife (1965), her American debut. After a few years playing sexy roles in the United States, she went back to Europe in search of meatier ones. She proved her depth as a malevolent Catherine de Medici in La Reine Margot (1994), which won her awards at the Cannes and César Film Festivals. She has since been seen mostly as a character and supporting actress. Corners lightly worn and creased. Slightly bowed. Lightly toned. Small tear on top right corner. Otherwise, fine condition.
