Martin types this letter updating Mr. Woodhouse on the progress of several attendees of the flight school and assuring him that he can hold open enrollment of the Wyoming militia Typed Letter signed: “O.E. Osborn”, in black ink, 1p, 7¼x10. No place, 1916 August 1. Letterhead featuring an image of an amphibious biplane and text. Addressed to “Mr. Henry Woodhouse,/ Aero Club of America,/ 297 Madison Avenue,/ New York City”. To “Dear Sir:-”. In part: “Lieutenant Dean Smith from New Mexico, is progressing nicely in our School and you will be pleased to learn that Adjutant General Herring also of New Mexico, has made a visit to our School and contemplates taking a course a little later this year…” O.E. Osborn was Mr. Martin's secretary who took care of all of his business correspondences as well as other personal and professional matters. Two horizontal mailing folds. Toned. Lightly worn and creased at both upper and lower left-hand corner. Paper clip stain extending inward from left edge. “File” written in blue crayon in an unknown hand near bottom edge. “File” was also written and erased to the right of the letterhead image. Otherwise, fine condition.
