I hope by the time this letter reaches you, you are in the best of health and spirits. I read all my letters and answer them personally. Unfortunately due to my busy schedule I am not able to respond as quickly as I would like to. I am enclosing the picture you requested. I hope you continue to watch our show. The new season promises to be better and more exciting than our first. I have a special episode of Miami Vice coming up entitled 'Dutch Oven.' Keep an eye out for it, it's Trudy's story. Also your letter was received during our break and I just completed a two hour show of the 'Loveboat' which I guest star in. To be shown sometime in the early season. The show took me to eight different countries. I met very interesting people and dined with royalty, but you know I love Miami Vice, and I really enjoy reading my mail so keep writing. At the time she wrote this letter, Brown was starring in one of her best known roles, Detective Trudy Joplin on the TV series, Miami Vice (1984-1990). She also played the role in the 1984 made-for-TV movie of the same name. Olivia Brown (born in 1960) had made her television debut in 1977 on an episode of The Outsiders. She would go on to have recurring roles in such shows as Hill Street Blues (1983), Dear John (1990-1991), Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1995-1996), Beverly Hills 90210 (1997), Moesha (2001) and 7th Heaven (1996-2003, as Patricia Hamilton). Brown, who also appeared as guest star on several other series, was also seen in several made-for-TV movies. Her feature film credits include 48 Hrs. (1982), Throw Momma From the Train (1987) and Man's Best Friend (1993). Lightly creased with folds, not at signature. Fine condition.
