Photocopied Contract signed: "Olivia deHavilland" in ink as Performer, 1 page, 8½x14. New York, 1977 March 1. "Standard AFTRA Engagement Contract" in which the Academy Award-winning actress is hired by Filmways TV Productions, Los Angeles, to appear on the TV special, AFI Salutes Bette Davis. De Havilland was to receive $1,000 for her appearance, which was to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on March 1, 1977. De Havilland has also written her social security number (blacked out on scan). DeHavilland and Davis starred in at least five films together, starting in 1937 with It's Love I'm After to 1965's Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte. Olivia de Havilland (1916-2020) received critical acclaim and Best Actress Academy Awards for her roles in To Each His Own (1946) and The Heiress (1949). She was also nominated for Oscars for Gone With the Wind (1939), of which she is the last surviving star, Hold Back the Dawn (1941) and The Snake Pit (1948). Her sister is actress Joan Fontaine. Slightly creased with folds, light horizontal fold nicks the upper loops of signature. Staple holes at upper left blank corner, 2 file holes at upper blank margin. Usual black marks from photocopying at upper and lower blank margins. Fine condition.
