OLIVIA HUSSEY Handwritten letter signed by the actress to an admirer Autograph Letter signed: "Olivia Hussey", in black ink, 1p, 6¼x4½ folded embossed note card. No place, Dated March 10, 1980. To "Jerry". In Full: "Thank you so much for writing to me. I hope you like these photos. I've just set up my own production co. I'm tired of all the rubbish they've been sending me - so I'm working hard at business meetings and hopefully I'll be doing good work again in the very near future! I've enclosed too - a little magazine on meditation - with my teacher of 7 yrs. He's a wonderful being - and has given me much strength! I hope you read it! Much love to you. God Bless You." Dark-eyed actress Olivia Hussey (b. 1951) made her breakthrough appearance in Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 production of Romeo and Juliet. The Argentinian actress won a Golden Globe for her performance. She stands as one of the few actresses to portray Juliet who was a genuine teenager rather than an established, venerated screen star. Few of her subsequent films were on the same artistic or box-office level as Romeo and Juliet, though Hussey was a most fetching damsel in distress in 1978's Death on the Nile and a femme fatale in 1980's The Man With Bogart's Face. Fine condition.
