To thank you for a pleasant Hollywood interlude--- and also the coveted privilege of sitting on the Side Line for a few moments observing an extraordinary, brilliant Lady embued [sic] with an earthy cordial friendliness, carry on a sparkling conversation-direct details of an involved Hollywood Bowl Benefit--- make snap decision as to who gets the next Chrysler -----unseat an undesirable Congressman-revealing personal plans of corralling a 'Mug-Wump' voting strength that might swing the National Election--- 'Pigeon Hole' the Presidential aspirants with uncanny Political Astuteness-inadvertently mentioning a Florist Shop---just a side line ------conduct an impromptu Sight Seeing Peek!!!! and incidently [sic] keeping ' A NEW FAN' of an amazing person supplied with cherries----infact [sic] his favorite fruit---- I repeat--It was a privilege----Merrily, P.S. Incidently- [sic] what do you do with your spare time???????" OLSEN & JOHNSON was created in 1914, when Ole Olsen (1892-1963) and Chic Johnson (1891-1962) teamed up in a comedy act that made them very popular on the vaudeville circuit. They appeared in eight films in the 30s and 40s but had their one big success in Hellzapoppin' (1941), a screen version of their 1938-1940 Broadway hit. The film garnered an Oscar nomination for Best Song. Olsen was the father in law of William Lear, who invented the 8-track tape and the Lear Jet. Fold creases not near signature.
