Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Saul -/Best wishes/Olympe
Bradna". B/w, 8x10. Collector's ink stamp on verso dates signature May 10,
1938. Olympe Bradna, born in Paris (1920-2012), was an acrobatic
dancer with the Folies Bergere, and later performed in other capitals,
including New York. Signed to a Paramount contract in 1936, she appeared
in several films calling for a French actress, including Three Cheers for
Love (1936) and Last Train from Madrid (1937). In her last film,
International Squadron (1941), she received second billing behind Ronald
Reagan. Saul Goodman (1919-2003), a New York business man by day, pursued
his love of film and theatre in the evening, making friends with many
celebrities. While other autograph seekers offered album leaves, Goodman
presented stars with snazzy photographs, a rarity then, to sign in fountain pen.
Corners worn and creased. Lightly toned around edges. Otherwise, Fine
condition.
