Communications to supply the voice-over on a TV ad for "Laser Attack" by Milton Bradley. In
his own hand, WELLES authorizes checks to be made payable to L Arnold WEISSBERGER
in New York City. Multi-talented actor, director, producer and screenwriter Welles
(1915-1985) is perhaps best known for causing national hysteria. On Halloween 1938, Welles'
Mercury Theater's realistic radio production of H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds made
thousands of listeners panic, thinking Martians had actually landed in New Jersey.
Welles also starred in, directed and co-wrote (1941 Academy Award for Original
Screenplay)Citizen Kane, his first motion picture, modeled after the life of publisher
William Randolph Hearst. He received an honorary Academy Award in 1970. Staple holes
