An Olympic gold medallist (1992), de la Hoya has held world boxing titles in four weight classes: lightweight, super lightweight, welterweight and junior middleweight. The popular fighter was unbeaten until losing the WBC Welterweight title to Felix Trinidad in a split decision (1999). He has since won WBA and WBC belts in the Junior Middleweight category.
