The 15 members of the New York Giants who played for the 1987 and 1991 Super Bowl Champions are pictured in action. Two of those pictured have signed. Ottis Jerome "O.J." Anderson (b. 1957) is a former American football running back. During his college career, Anderson broke Chuck Foreman's career rushing records at the University of Miami, becoming the first player to rush for more than 1,000 yards in the school's history his senior year with 1,266 yards. He was named The Sporting News and the American Football Coaches First Team All-American and received All-American honorable mentions by both AP and UPI and graduated in 1979 as the team's all-time leading rusher with 3,331 yards. He was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press (AP) with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1979, and the MVP of Super Bowl XXV in 1991 when playing with the New York Giants. Linebacker Harry Carson (b. 1953) starred for South Carolina State (1972-1975), sparking the team to an NCAA defensive record of allowing only 29 points in 10 games. As a pro, he played his entire career with the New York Giants (1976-1988), a key component of a defense which was called "the Crunch Bunch" and "the Big Blue Wrecking Crew." He led the team in tackles for five years, and was captain for ten, named to the Pro Bowl nine times. He made seven tackles in the Giants' first Super Bowl victory (SB XXI). Carson was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2002, and to the Pro hall in 2006. He became a sports broadcaster, and founded his own sports consulting and promotion firm.
