OVER HERE! BROADWAY CAST: CO-SIGNED BY PATTY ANDREWS, MAXENE ANDREWS, ANN REINKING and JANIE SELL
Three actresses from the Tony Award nominated Musical sign a June 1974 Playbill for the show.
Show Bill signed: "Maxene Andrews", "Patty Andrews", "Ann Reinking", "Janie Sell". The Tony Award-nominated musicalOver Here! a retrospective on home life and USO tours during World War II, ran for nearly a year in 1974-1975 at the Shubert Theatre. From 1937 through the 1940s the Andrews Sisters were queens of the radio and juke box. Mostly remembered for their music, rich in sweetness and optimism, the Andrews Sisters were loved by the many troops they tirelessly entertained during WWII. Their upbeat songs, including their signature "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", were perfect morale-builders. During their career, the amazing trio of Patty (1918-2013), Maxene (1916-1995) and LaVerne (1911-1967) recorded more than 1,800 songs and sold over 90 million records. Ann Reinking (1949-2020) is a Tony Award-winning American dancer, choreographer and actress. Reinking got her start in theatre; she debuted on Broadway as in the ensemble of Coco (1969-1970). She broke into TV with an appearance on Ellery Queen in 1976 and into movies in Movie Movie (1978). Her memorable movie roles include Kate Jagger in All That Jazz (1979), as Grace Farrell in Annie (1982) and as Micki Salinger in Micki + Maude (1984), her last movie role as of this biography. Reinking is better known for her stage work. She's performed in, choreographed and directed a total of 14 other Broadway productions, earning a Tony Award for Best Choreography for the 1996 revival of Chicago. She was also choreographer for the revue Fosse (1999-2001) - an interesting crew choice, as she and Bob Fosse had lived together for many years.American actress Janie Sell was born on October 1, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan. She appeared on stage from 1968 to 1996 and won the 1974 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Over Here!. For the role she also won a 1974 Theatre World Award. Sell also appeared in such Broadway productions as Irene (1973-1974), I Love My Wife (1977-1979), Moon Over Buffalo (1995-1996) and was nominated for a 1980 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical for God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater.
