PAMELA STEPHENSON and BILLY CONNOLLY
The actress and comedian couple sign their names in blue ink on this 5x3 card. Extremely rare!
Signature: "Pamela/Stephenson", "Billy/Connolly", in blue ink, 5x3. PAMELA STEPHENSON (b. 1949) became a prominent TV actress and personality, first in Australia and later in Britain. Her first acting role was in the Australian series Ryan (1972-1973). After moving to Britain in 1976, she co-hosted Not the Nine O'Clock News, specializing in vocal parodies. (She would continue this tradition in the US as a Saturday Night Live cast member (1984-1985), spoofing characters from Madonna to Joan Collins to Peggy Ashcroft.) Stephenson is a licensed clinical psychiatrist specializing in sexual therapy, and has taken this skill to television in England (Shrink Rap) and Australia (Sex). Stephenson has appeared in several movies, including Superman III and History of the World, Part I. She is the author of the book and board game How to Be a Complete Bitch. BILLY CONNOLLY (b. 1942) is a Scottish comedian, musician, and actor, first making waves as a singer in the folk band The Humblebums. Originally wanting to be a comedian but feeling he wasn't interesting enough, Connolly spent most of his young life working as a boilermaker, only pursuing music after returning from a 10-week work stint in Nigeria. Forming the group with Tam Harvey, but becoming most popular with future rocker Gerry Rafferty, the Humblebums were never critically successful but had a huge cult following. After the group separated in 1970, Conolly began his solo comedic career, with his breakthrough album Solo Concert making him a UK star. He continued to perform for the next 20 years to much praise in the UK, but did not become popular in the United States until the 1990's. Since achieving international success, Connolly has crossed all mediums of entertainment, including music, comedy, writing, and acting. As of recently, Connolly has been a popular choice for films, voicing King Fergus in the animated film Brave (2012) and appearing as Dain Ironfoot in the third of the blockbuster Hobbit trilogy. Connolly and actress Pamela Stephenson have been married since 1989. Corners slightly worn. Fine condition.
