According to notations on verso, this photo was taken when Day rode Easy Goer to victory at the 1989 Belmont Stakes. Pat Day (b. 1953), from Brush, Colorado, wanted to be a rodeo cowboy, but decided his small size was better suited to horse racing. A four-time winner of the Eclipse Award as U.S. jockey of the year (1984, 1986, 1987 and 1991), he has won nine Triple Crown events: one Kentucky Derby, 3 Belmont Stakes and 5 Preakness Stakes. Lightly creased and bowed. Otherwise, fine condition.
