PAT LAFONTAINE
The American-born Hockey Hall of Famer is shown on the ice for the Buffalo Sabres
Photograph signed: "Pat LaFontaine/16". Color, 8x10. Pat LaFontaine (b. 1965) joked that he played his entire NHL career without ever having to change license plates. The hockey center played for the New York Islanders (1983-1991), Buffalo Sabres (1991-1997) and New York Rangers (1997-1998). He scored a career 1,013 points, including 468 goals, and recorded 1.17 points per game played, the highest average ever for an American-born hockey player. A serious concussion shortened his career, but he entered the Hall of Fame in 2003. Signature in poor contrast but legible. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso. Fine condition.
