Stage and film actress PATRICIA MORISON (1915-2018) had her biggest success as the female lead in the Broadway run of Kiss Me Kate (1948-1951), based on Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Never breaking through to top Hollywood stardom, she gave good performances in many films of the 1940s, including The Fallen Sparrow (1943). Dancer turned actress JUNE LANG (also born in 1915), who began her movie career at age 14, appeared with Laurel and Hardy in Bonnie Scotland (1935), with Warner Baxter and Fredric March in The Road to Glory (1936) and was Shirley Temple's mother in Wee Willie Winkie (1937). After her marriage to convicted mobster John Rosselli, Lang's career spiraled downward, and by 1943, she was playing unbilled bits in films like Flesh and Fantasy (1943) and Up in Arms (1944). British stage and screen actress HEATHER ANGEL (1909-1986) had starring roles in the films Berkeley Square (1933), The Informer (1935), The Last Of the Mohicans (1936) and five Bulldog Drummond films. On TV, she appeared frequently on Family Affair (1966), and came out of retirement for a role in the TV miniseries Backstairs at the White House (1979). Lightly creased with folds, light horizontal fold at Morison's signature. Lightly soiled and stained. ¼x¾-inch paper remnant at left blank edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
