First Day Cover signed: "Pat McNamara", 6½x3¾. FDC, postmarked Washington, D.C., March 30, 1962, 4-cent U.S. stamp affixed (honoring the World United Against Malaria), FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Patrick McNamara (1894-1966), a democrat, served as a U.S. Senator from Michigan from 1955 to 1966. He was chairman of the Special Committee on Aging (87th Congress) and sat on the Committee on Public Works (88th and 89th Congress). Fine condition.
