Autograph Note signed: "Thanks -/Patrick Williams/'The One and Only'", 5¼x7¾. Ink notes at bottom (unknown hand): "Composer/February 2, 1978." Patrick Williams is one of the most successful composers in the entertainment industry. His TV work has included scores for Columbo, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Streets of San Francisco and Monk, notching 23 Emmy nominations (at last count), and 4 wins. His work as music director and arranger for Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand, Gloria Estefan and many others has earned 16 Grammy nominations and 2 awards. He was nominated for an Oscar for the soundtrack for Breaking Away (1978), the same year he composed music for The One and Only. Williams was even nominated for a Pulitzer in Music for his orchestral composition, "An American Concerto." His "Theme for Earth Day" was performed by John Williams and the Boston Pops.
