In full: "We loved our beautiful Valentine that was awaiting us here at Drury Lane when we arrived!!!! We miss you very, very much too! Can't believe it's that time of year for you again! Can't wait to talk to you and hear all your news. We had just ten days to put 'Chapter Two' together - lots of hard work - but we did. Opened Wed, the 4th of Feb, and this Wed the press comes. Close March 22nd. What a beautiful operation is, & Tony Di Santis is great. More later! Do you love this card?!!! Bet you and Mary are the exception!" Dancer and actress Patti MacLeod (b. 1931) performed on many theatre stages, and in a few films (That Certain Summer, 1972). She was married to actor Gavin MacLeod in 1974, and appeared with him in 7 episodes of The Love Boat. The MacLeod's divorced in 1982, but remarried for good in 1985 after Gavin defeated alcoholism. The story of their divorce and remarriage is told in Gavin MacLeod's religiously themed memoir, Back On Course (1987). The card's recipient, Charles Forsythe was an off-Broadway and regional theatre director and producer. Creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
