Autograph Letter signed: "Paul Fix" in black ink, 1p, 8x11. No place, 1980 July 14. To "Hi Warren". In full: "Good to hear from you and so pleased to hear you are getting on and enjoying life. You must have had a fine trip. I have not been doing much - taking it easy, but keep very busy at all things. Always glad to hear from you, take care and keep on drawing. You are a fine artist. I have the picture you made of me. Shall always cherish it. God bless you. Very best always". Paul Fix (1901-1983) appeared in dozens of Westerns in the 1930s, largely playing characters that were villainous or untrustworthy.From 1933-1973, he appeared in 24 films with John Wayne, whom he had befriended in the mid-1930s. His most familiar role was as North Fork's honest, but often ineffectual Marshall Micah Torrance on the TV series The Rifleman, which was televised on ABC from 1958-1963. Two horizontal, and one vertical fold. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
