Sale Price $144.00
PAUL FORD. Signature: "Paul Ford", 5x3 card. Ink note on verso: "12-22-64". Paul Ford (1901-1976) hit the big time in 1955, when he was engaged to play the apoplectic Colonel Hall on Phil Silvers' situation comedy, You'll Never Get Rich. During that period, Ford worked steadily in the theatre, recreating his popular stage role as Colonel Purdy in Teahouse for the August Moon. He scored a major success in 1965 (shortly after he signed this autograph) in the play Never Too Late. The play was filmed in 1967, with Ford once again in the starring role. Lightly creased. Slightly soiled. Slight show through from notes on verso at upper blank margin. Fine condition.
