Krause was born on February 19, 1942. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins
in the second round of the 1964 NFL Draft. Kraus played free safety; in his
exceptional rookie season he led the NFL in interceptions with twelve. In
1968 after four seasons with a total of 28 interceptions the Redskins traded
him to the Minnesota Vikings. He would play for Minnesota until his last game in
1979. During those years Kraus joined his teammates in four Super Bowl
appearances. He retired as history's all-time interception leader with
81. In 1998 he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Fine
condition.
