He signs a contract to appear as an actor in a 1956 television play.

Mazursky signs a letter of acceptance attached to a standard AFTRA contract and a schedule of rehearsals and performances of "Operation 3 R's," a program to be broadcast on the United States Steel Hour TV program on July 4, 1956. Paul Mazursky (1930-2014) began his entertainment career as a stage and screen actor, appearing in Stanley Kubrick's first film Fear and Desire (1953). Other successful scripts by Mazursky include Moscow on the Hudson (1984) and Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986). More recent films in which he wore two hats as actor and director include Faithful (1996) and Coast to Coast (2003). Mazursky's first screenplay was the pilot for The Monkees TV series (1966).
