Newman also starred in Absence of Malice, which earned him an Oscar nomination for
Best Actor in a Leading Role. Nominated for eight Academy Awards for Best
Actor in a Leading Role, Paul Newman (1925-2008) is considered one of
greatest of performers of all time.. He won the Best Actor Oscar for his work
portraying Fast Eddie Felson in The Color of Money (1986); he earned a
nomination for portraying that same character 25 years earlier in The Hustler.
Other Oscar-nominated performances include Brick Pollitt in Cat on a Hot Tin
Roof (1958), Luke Jackson in Cool Hand Luke (1967), and John Rooney in
Road to Perdition (2002). Newman is also known for his philanthropic
endeavors, including the food product line Newman's Own, which donates all
post-tax proceeds to charity. Lightly creased at blank corners and margins. Minor surface
creases (not evident head-on). Black marks at lower left and right edges. Fine condition.
