In full: "I have received your letter of the 27th requesting one of my drawings from your magazine 'Beaux Arts'. I will provide it with pleasure, but I need to look at the last two issues in order that my art work may conform with its style. Therefore, please send them to me at 14 rue de l'Abbaye." Paul Signac, who was noted for his landscapes and seascapes, was a leading member of the Neo-Impressionist School notable for a painting technique called Pointillism. Encouraged by Signac, in 1884, Georges Seurat turned away from the brushstrokes of the Impressionists and became the leader of the Pointillist movement. After Seurat's death in 1891, Signac became the acknowledged leader of the Neoimpressionists. Lightly creased, soiled. File holes at blank margin. Folds, horizontal fold touches "P" and "S".
