B/w, 8x10 overall, image 6½x9 (one surface). Paul Volcker (1927-2019), appointed by President Jimmy Carter, served as Chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1979-1987. Best remembered for curbing runaway inflation, Volcker was reappointed by President Reagan. In the wake of the Enron scandal, Volcker, as Chairman of the Oversight Committee of the International Accounting Standards Board, became an advisor to the Arthur Andersen accounting firm. As of October 2006, Volcker is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Group of Thirty, an influential Washington, D.C.-based financial advisory body, and he is a member of the Trilateral Commission. Volcker headed President Obama's Economic Recovery Advisory Board from February 2009 to January 2011. Signature in poor contrast, but legible. Corners slightly worn and creased. Fine condition.
