Hawkins (1927-2009), a Republican, represented Florida in the Senate for one term (1981-1987) but lost her bid for re-election. She authored a book about child abuse, Children at Risk (1986). DIRECTLY FROM THE SALE OF THE ESTATE OF DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN. Moynihan (1927-2003) represented New York in the U.S. Senate as a Democrat for four terms (1977-2001). A prolific author, he served in the administrations of four Presidents: Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford. Ink note (unknown hand) and ink stamp in upper right corner. Otherwise, fine condition.
