PAULA ZAHN
She signs a typed 1992 letter to a retired naval officer, attributing her
tardy response to "Olympic commitments."
Typed Letter signed: "Paula Zahn", 1 page, 8¼x11. New York, N.Y.,
1992 February 28. On CBS letterhead to George F. Berstler, Jr., LCDR USN
(Ret), Collingswood, New Jersey. In full: "Please excuse this late
response to your letter of February 2, 1992. Unfortunately, with Olympic
commitments my schedule did not permit the usual reading of viewer mail. I
always enjoy hearing from our viewers; and your letter was very flattering.
Thank you for all your kind words. I hope you will continue to start your day
with us at 'CBS This Morning.' Best wishes". Paula Zahn (b. 1956) has
hosted news programs on four TV networks: ABC, CBS, Fox and CNN, winning 7 Emmy
Awards. She resigned from CNN, where she had anchored programs for 6 years,
in July 2007. Zahn covered the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympic games for CBS. An
accomplished cellist, she has performed with the New York Pops Orchestra. Zahn's
acrimonious divorce from real estate mogul Richard Cohen has made tabloid
headlines. Irregular edges. Missing upper left corner. Lightly creased at
corners. Otherwise, fine condition.
