Signature: "Pearl S. Buck", 5¾x8½ sheet. Pearl S. Buck (1892-1973), born to Presbyterian
missionaries, spent the first forty years of her life in China, the setting of many of her books.
Her second novel, The Good Earth, won the 1932 Pulitzer Prize, and Buck also won the
1938 Nobel Prize in Literature for her epic works about China. She later wrote about other
Asian nations, such as India (Mandala) and Korea (The Living Reed). Lightly creased. Fine
condition.
